Dispatcher's Computer Dashboard PDK-STAR (Maintaining Post SU-STAR)
Application
Dispatcher's computer keyboard can be used for the visualization of the operating status of all the alarm lines in the STAR (STAR-320) and STAR-N (STAR-M) systems, and it enables communication of the dispatcher with any supervision line or a group of lines. PDK-STAR operates under the supervision of the operational system Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP. The monitor screen shows the image of the classic dispatcher's keyboard PD-STAR. The buttons are used by the utilization of a mouse. The functional possibilities of the keyboard PDK-STAR are the same as the possibilities of the classic keyboard. The advantages of the computer dispatcher's keyboard include the possibility to utilize additional functions such as displaying of the name or location of a system subscriber, reviewing of the composition of subscribers' groups, searching for a subscriber according to a selected criterion, bringing into the additional window (cockpit) of the button of any subscriber in order to facilitate the access to him, etc. These operations can be carried out by pointing any of the buttons by the mouse, or by selecting a defined function from the dropping menu. The keyboard in this version can then cooperate with the all mine large format dispatcher's visualization system SD 2000, what enables quick locating of a subscriber on the mine bed map. Dispatcher's computer keyboard is also equipped with the software which enables recording of dispatcher's conversation on the computer hard disc and replaying them later, as well as the software managing the free disc space. The dispatcher is able to carry out conversations by the use of microphone and the set of loud-speakers or a additional microtelephone. The software application of PDK-STAR is at the same time the maintenance tool called SU-STAR, designed for group configuration, recording of calls and other activities connected with system operating supervision.
